Hi, I’m Morgan Jones. I design natural language conversational and multi-modal interfaces.
I studied linguistics and philosophy (UCSC) and film (UWM) and have certificates in Human Computer Interaction and UX.
In my career I have had the opportunity to explore how visual, spoken, and text based communication systems can work together to meet users where they are. My work has had a measurable impact on conversation quality, lead generation, and in helping companies to build better relationships with their customers.

- Project Goal: design the conversational experience for the audio and display glasses
- Contribution: analyze user test results, design responses that improve user experience for display and audio only glasses

- Project Goal: design a VUI that expands the reach of government information to new populations using AI.
- Contribution: just about everything except a bit of java script on the backend
- Outcome: Alexa skill for the USA.gov scam content was published to beta.
- Key Takeaway: as the only conversation designer at GSA, I excelled at managing stakeholders who knew nothing about my unique UX discipline. I also developed creative ways to involve other teams in the design process.

- Project Goal: design conversational flows to generate leads with a SMS touchpoint, manage conversation designers
- Contribution: teaching CxD, up-leveling design standards and inter-department collaboration
- Outcome: improved lead generation outcomes, developed and implemented CxD department processes
- Key Takeaway: blossomed as a CxD thanks to being able to closely monitor results of any change I made to conversational designs
- Project Goal: design proprietary multi-modal virtual assistant apps that solve business needs, develop the AI journey design department at Affinity, in partnership with NLX, at the time.
- Contribution: gathered requirements, designed multi-modal virtual assistant experiences, tested deliverables, and iterated on improvements
- Outcome: developed best practices, experimented with AI technology, and made some clients very happy with the results
- Key Takeaway: discovered the niche way my unique skillset integrates to create frictionless conversational multi-modal applications
